BANANAS FOSTER FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients

4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 packet Caramel Apple Dip &
Dessert Mix, divided
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
8 slices of bread

Topping:
6 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
Remaining Caramel Apple Dip &
Dessert Mix
3-4 ripe bananas, sliced

Instructions

Preheat oven to 250°F. Combine eggs, milk and 2 tablespoons of dessert mix in a bowl; whisk to blend. Melt 1 tablespoon butter and add 1 tablespoon oil in a fry pan or on a griddle over medium heat. Dip slices of bread into egg mixture; coat both sides and place on the griddle. Brown both sides until lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes per side (adding more butter and oil as needed). Place finished pieces in oven to keep warm while the topping is being prepared. Place 6 tablespoons of butter in a skillet with remaining dessert mix and brown sugar. Stir until the mixture is dissolved and syrupy, then add sliced bananas and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Top your French toast with banana mixture. As an option, you can also choose to sprinkle the graham topping from the Caramel Apple Dip & Dessert Mix (Retired) box over top or save this for another use.
